Third country nationals wishing to obtain Canadian residency through investment have the option to make an eligible investment as follows:

Option 1: Be able to demonstrates that you have legally obtained a financial net worth of no less than CAN $2,000,000, mostly by doing business or by receiving a salary as a qualified manager within a private company, government or an NGO. Donations and inheritances are admissible under the Quebec Investor Program only.

Option 2: Demonstrate that you have owned a business for a minimum of 2 years during the last five year, or that you have owned a running concern for the past two 2 years, or have a minimum of 2 years’ management experience as an employee in a private company, government or NGO in the past 5 years.

Option 3: You are, as an immigrant investor, able to make a passive loan of CAN 1,200,000 to the Canadian government without receiving any interest for a period of 5 years, OR, alternatively, are willing to pay a minimum of CAN 320,000 in financing fees and related brokerage costs to avoid making the investment.
